Election 2008

 Monday, November 03, 2008:

On Thursday August 28th Presidential Elect nominee Barack Obama stepped out onto the stage at Invesco Field at Mile High to a throng of 80,000 people to deliver a speech of the ages. He was to address his audience like the Messiah leading his flock out of the desert and into the Promised Land. As such, I had a chance to read a passage written in my daily reader of Forward Day By Day to see what the Lord had in store for us and as usual he delivered.  The passage was from John 7:14-36 “He who speaks on his own authority seeks his own glory; but he who seeks the glory of him who sent him is true, and in him there is no falsehood.” Finding that politician who speaks the truth to us all is important, however it is more important of the character of the one speaking because truth is conveyed and manifested by character than by ones words. One can speak the truth to his flock while living a lie. We need to listen to their words but when deciding what leader we should follow we need to look past the rhetoric and judge them by their character. Don’t pay attention so much as to what they say, however look at who they are. To whom and to what glory do these politicians seek? Are they the type that wear their authority on their lapel and shout their platitudes and thoughts around like a neon sign with their name on it? Or does their manner of living and those that are associated with them point beyond themselves toward God? Is Mr. Obama living a lie or does his character prove worthy to lead this country forward? On Wednesday October the 15th the night of the last Presidential debates, I again read my daily lesson from our Lord and this one came from Luke 9:1-17, it said, “But he said to them, You give them something to eat.” Here our disciples wondered how they were going to feed so many with so little to eat, for they only had five loaves and two fishes. The disciples wanted an easy solution to their dilemma by having Jesus to send the crowds away. However he put the responsibility back onto the disciples by telling them “You give them something to eat.” When you look at this from the respective sides of our choices of Presidential nominees you notice that Mr. Obama wants government to be the solution to most of our problems and that he will take from one class and redistribute their abundance to those who have less. Instead of being the eternal optimist that Jesus ask us to be, he becomes a pessimist who wants us all to be dependant on government instead of trusting in God and in ones ability to be productive and to be able to provide for not only themselves but to others as well. The choices are clear in this election it is up to each individual to decide whether he or she wants more government intrusion and meddling in their lives or do they want less government that works for them in ways that are more optimist than pessimist. Once again the American people will get what they vote for, be careful in how you choose.

Midterm election

Tomorrow we go to the polls for the 2006 mid-term elections that could/can change the course of U.S. history as we know it.  Through all the mud slinging and bash ads we must decide which side is right for this time, this age and for our future.  The democrats on the face of things really do not have an agenda for the U.S. in terms of foreign policy, the war in Iraq, the economy, immigration or social security, all important issues for citizens of this country.

Since the election of Republican George W. Bush in 2000 and his subsequent reelection in 2004 all the democrats have done is seek to destroy the president, his policies and for that matter the nation as a whole all for the acquisition of power for power sake.  The democrats position on Iraq is one of cut and run.  It seems an old cliche but it fits the description, how could redeployment of our troops be anything less than that.  The economy is roaring with the stock market up, more people at work than ever before, gas prices down and inflation in check.  If you pull the lever for a democrat you will more than likely see the tax cuts repealed with the average 50 to 70k wage earners taxes go up 3 to 4,000 dollars.  If you want amnesty to the 12 to 20 million illegal immigrants here in this country, just pull the lever and vote democrat.  As for social security both sides have failed the younger generations by not addressing this issue.  However by pulling the lever and voting democrat you are ensuring that it will not be addressed for sometime and the likelihood of a tax increase to subsidize this boondoggle a reality.

Most important to us all is our safety and welfare as Americans.  We must keep the Patriot Act in place, the electronic surveillance of phone calls of suspected Al-Qaeda terrorist from outside to inside this country on going and the interrogation techniques used by military and CIA personnel in place as well.  If you want the possibility of an attack here on our homeland, with the prospect of you or your loved ones injured or killed, pull the lever and vote democrat.  I truly believe that as a front line officer in the war on terror we must be aggressive and use all the legal means necessary to combat those who want to kill us, our economy and our way of life. By voting Republican and holding them accountable we will have a brighter future for not only us but for generations to come.

A New Meaning To Crisis Intervention Team

The CIT (Crisis Intervention Team) program that has been adopted by numerous law enforcement agencies throughout the nation is not per se Marxist, however I would say that political correctness and multiculturalism has its roots from Marxism.  They are inherently subsets of Marxist ideology in which specifically American culture, mores and norms have been increasingly chipped away in an effort to move toward socialism and Marxism.  Moreover, the values of the dominant culture have been substituted for the perspectives of victim groups.

In  CIT training in particular you are indoctrinated in victimology of the mentally ill.  They want law enforcement to see them as victims of their illness and not as criminals.  We do on occasions see mentally ill subjects who are not involved in criminal activity.  We have a fundamental understanding that they ill and are in need of help and don’t know where to turn.  As police officers we can get them the general help that they need and be on our way to the next call.  However, those that do fall under the criminal category want us to believe that they are victims too.  As human beings they need to be held accountable for there actions regardless of their circumstance.  Remember that part of multiculturalism and political correctness is taking away the true meaning of things and inserting a new meaning to fit the need.  As law enforcement officials we must not fall prey to this tactic unless we want to see further erosion of police powers.

Community laws based upon the culture, values and traditions as well as its history are being replaced by laws and delivery mechanisms that are universal.  As such, these new laws, human rights laws, trump old values.  Within the context of victims, who really see themselves as a minority, they appear to have more rights than others based upon victimology.

What we have seen in the past and are seeing more of today is the rise towards a more multicultural society and that law enforcement officials of all ranks should undergo training on racial equality and cultural diversity issues so as to become more non-judgmental about the contacts made during the working shift.  Multiculturalism wants to promote equal treatment of all cultures, however this is not true.  The one culture within our nation that they don’t treat equally is the indigenous American culture.  What one purports to be an agenda of equality, really promotes the deconstruction of majority culture.  What we have seen in the schools as well as in law enforcement are the teaching that our culture is racist and colonialist and it should be traded in for a new multicultural model.  At the base of multiculturalism, within the CIT framework is the sense of egalitarianism, which says that everyone’s culture and lifestyle has equal validity and moral stature.

Italian communist Antonio Gramsci grasped the most effective means of overturning Western society in which one was to subvert its culture and morality.  Instead of mobilizing the peasants or working class to take over the world, it would be achieved by the culture war.  The moral beliefs of the majority would be replaced by the values of those on the margins of society.  This would be brought about by capturing all of ones community institutions; schools, universities, churches, the media, the legal community, the police and volunteer groups and making sure that the elite, intellectual as well, would all be on the same subversive sheet of music.  The consequence of moral and cultural relativism is that one is increasingly unable to make moral distinctions based upon behavior.  This moral equivalence reverts into a moral inversion, in which those who do wrong are excused if they belong to a victim group, while those at the receiving end of their behavior are blamed because they belong to the majority, which is viewed as oppressive.

We are increasingly going down this road where the arrestee is viewed as the victim and the police as the violator; self-defense is viewed as aggression, while the original violence is viewed sympathetically and with understanding and in some cases even justified.  We should use current laws and common sense to dictate what is wrong and what is right in society.  For if we continue with the elevation of the individual and the attack on authority, we will see an even further fundamental attack on culture, norms and mores, delving into nihilistic doctrines of postmodernism where everything, including the concepts of truth and objectivity are reduced to meaninglessness.

See The Light

The calm of dusk we sit.
In solitude to praise the Almighty.
He has given another beautiful day.
Sweet is the smell of the air, lights
begin to flicker, giving off its radiant hue,
signaling another day has passed.

We must remember what we have done.
Embrace the present as it unfolds before us,
as we look forward towards tomorrow and
beyond.  Rise up our heartfelt souls, love all
that stands beneath our feet and within thine
sight.  Be glad to whence we once came.  To
claim all that is and all that shall be, for divine
providence is with us.  Guide us, instruct us and
give us everlasting life and promise to all that seek
the truth, freedom and love of life, the ability to be
Christ like...forever.

Dems say Bush creates more terrorist.

In this political season, the Democrats would like the electorate to believe that the Bush administration and Republicans in general are the root cause for more terrorist to be not only in Iraq but throughout the world.  Senator D. Durbin (D) Illinois said this yesterday with the old media giving it full play in order to dissuade the public.  The notion that we have caused this because of our toppling of Sadaam Huessin is pure poppycock and political grandstanding to garner power.

In the days leading up to the liberation of 26 million people under the despotic regime of Huessin, the release of thousands of murderer’s, rapist, thieves and common criminals  into the streets of Baghdad and its outskirts was done to create chaos but more importantly, giving the terrorist a broader pool in which to recruit from.  Let’s have common sense rule here for once.  Who do you think the terrorist tend to recruit for bombing missions and other suicidal acts?  Do you really think it is the mother who cooks for her children or the shop keeper who tries to peddle his wares?  No its not, the recruiting is done on the streets or through the underground channel which terrorist and criminals use.  Just think of the kinds of people Sadaam had locked up just to keep the streets safe even though he was a dictator.  These had to be the most vile and violent of Iraq citizens one could imagine.  I also doubt that they received any courses on how to be a model and productive citizen while in prison.  They were and still are the most favored people to become a terrorist and part of the jihad movement.

Therefore, for the Democrats to say that Bush and the Republicans are the cause of more terrorist is wrong.  The release of criminals, broadening the terror pool in which to fish from and Iraq being the central front on terror is the reason for terrorist to have multiplied.  To say anything less is misleading, not to mention taking the American electorate as ignorant and dumb.

Political Correctness & Multiculturalism

The law enforcement community is finding it more difficult to suppress crime because political correctness and multiculturalism have infiltrated the upper echelons of the police command structure.

Political correctness is in reality cultural Marxism.  The origins of cultural Marxism go back to theWW1, where political correctness and Marxism are totalitarian ideologies.  The essence of this ideology is to take a philosophy and say, “on the basis of this philosophy, certain aspects must be true.”  Political correctness says that all history is determined by power, and the extent of your power is determined by your race, sex, sexual orientation or political leanings.

As we see in classical Marxism, the workers and peasants are good and the bourgeoisie is evil. In parallel, feminist, blacks, hispanics and homosexuals are good because these groups have achieved victim status and are deemed good no matter what they do.   Conversely, white males are evil, like the bourgeoisie in the Marxist system.

Political correctness and its adherents then rely on expropriation to get their way.  In classical Marxism, i.e. Russia, they expropriated the bourgeoisie, when they took their property.  In the politically correct community on college campuses, they expropriated by using quotas for admissions.

Deconstruction is the final part of the political correctness.  Deconstruction essentially takes any text, removes all meaning from it and re-inserts any meaning desired for the situation.

A symmetrical component of political correctness is multiculturalism.  Multiculturalism is the public policy for managing cultural diversity in a multiethnic society, officially stressing mutual respect and tolerance for cultural differences within a country’s borders.  For the law enforcement community this has taken the form of a Crisis Intervention Team or CIT, where we must show respect and tolerance of those who have mental health issues, regardless of the contact.

Within this framework lies two other views, mono-culturalism, old world policies that recognize themselves as one and do not recognize the existence of other nations/nationalities within their midst.  The melting pot or salad bowl of America, where immigrants maintain their own culture even though they are in America.

Multiculturalists believe you are racist if you do not reflect their view of society.  This tangent is eerily familiar to cultural Marxism as I described earlier and is detrimental to the health and well being of communities.  Multiculturalism thus does not bring groups together but divides people when they need to be united in the fight for social justice or in our case justice.  As such, multiculturalism is the “cult of ethnicity” and could destroy a nation.  It has certainly divided the law enforcement community as a whole.

These ideologies have gained roots into the law enforcement communities in various ways.  One small but effective tactic approved by police administrations all across the United State is the handing out of business cards on traffic stops where no citations are issued.  On the back of these cards contain the following:  Officer blank of the X agency has contacted you as a result of a traffic stop.  If you have comments positive or negative about this traffic stop, you should contact the office on the front of this card using the information provided.  The wording on the card suggest that a stop where no ticket was given should result in a complaint whether a business card was handed out or not.  Conversely, the same would apply where the officer performed above and beyond the means necessary.

Another more aggressive tactic is when a small minority group yells and complains the loudest and demands action from the police administration.  The most glaring example of this is the Paul Childs case in which a mentally impaired young black male with a knife was shot and killed by a Denver Police officer.  A small vocal, militant minority demanded action against Officer James Turney, the officer involved in the shooting.  The loud and angry demands of the minority group intimidated the Chief of Police into continually moving the goal posts of policy and procedures.  The actions of the administration and the activist group divided patrol officers and pitted them against citizens and administrators so that neither side benefited.  Officers no longer felt confident to do their job for fear of punishment and abandonment by the administration and the Mayor.

Common sense and the current laws should rule the day instead of political correctness or multiculturalism.  Unless plain speaking is allowed, clear thinking is denied.  Political correctness is part of the social decline that generation by generation makes public behavior less restrained and less rational.

People need to be united through common laws, common sense and common traits.  The American streets are the battleground of many special interest groups who seek to add anarchy and divisiveness to cities and the law enforcement community.  We must not give into this tactic and fight back with all that is right and just. Chief Justice John Jay said:  Providence has been pleased to give this one connected country to one united people.  A people descended from the same ancestors, speaking the same language, professing the same religion, attached to the same principals of government, very similar in their manners and customs.  This country and this people seem to have been made for each other and it appears as if it was the design of providence.  That and inheritance so proper and convenient for a band of brethren, united to each other by the strongest ties, should never be split into a number of unsocial, jealous and alien sovereignties.”
